Psychodynamic approacheswith cognitive behavioral& compassion focused techniques

Approach

As human beings we are constantly evolving and throughout our lives we experience transitions that may reflect happiness, as well as periods of increased stress. How we approach life’s ever-changing seasons plays a big role in our ability to manage our emotional health.

Deeply knowing oneself can be a powerful source of transformation and yet, sometimes what is needed are some practical tools to help ease inner turmoil. I work with clients to not only generate deep insight but also to create a new way of being and feeling empowered in the world. For these purposes, I combine psychodynamic approaches (or depth-therapy) with cognitive-behavioral and compassion-focused techniques, mindfulness, and clinical hypnosis.

Clients have found my background in behavioral medicine and the use of mind-body interventions particularly helpful in working with anxiety/stress, trauma, depression, and sleep.

Sessions

Sessions generally take place in my office in Lausanne or online. When working with certain fears or phobias, exposure therapy is sometimes conducted in real-world settings, outside the office.

Walk-and talk therapy sessions are offered for clients who could particularly benefit from the therapeutic effects of engaging in movement and feeling connected with nature.

I am a member of the Swiss Federation of Psychologists and therefore, sessions tend to be reimbursed by complimentary insurance. Please confirm directly with your insurance, prior to working together.
